Instructional Design

The mission of the instructional design team is to support faculty in design, development, deployment and testing of multimedia based face-to-face, hybrid and distance learning courses, and to meet their instructional needs using systematic instructional design methodologies and state-of-the-art technologies. 

Instructional Design Services:

  • Course Development:
    • Design and develop multimedia based course components as building blocks, reusable objects or templates
    • Design and develop interactive course websites for distance learning using Rapid Prototyping model of instructional design.
  • Faculty Development:
    • Promote integration of asynchronous, synchronous, assessment  and other technologies into teaching and learning.
    • Provide computer lab for faculty to experiment with instructional technologies and develop digital course content. 
    • Provide customized one-on-one or group based training for faculty development.
  • Research & Collaboration:
    • Research , evaluate, implement or recommend trends in instructional technologies.
    • Collaborate with other University of Cincinnati and Ohio State educational organizations involved in the enhancement of teaching and learning.
    • Participate in faculty and department grants.
