Additional Services
Extended Storage
Extended storage increases mailbox size from 200 MB to 500 MB. This is ideal for anyone who sends or receives a lot of e-mail, or who frequently needs to attach large files to messages.
When we execute the planned quota increase to 300 MB in September 2008, we will provide all of our current Extended storage customers an ADDITIONAL 500 MB to give each of them 800 MB of inbox space. Of course, if the 300 MB quota provides you with the space you need, you can cancel the Extended Storage order through GETit.
The cost for Extended Storage is $15 per month per mailbox. You can purchase additional storage for $10 per month per 500 MB increment.
LISTSERVes
LISTSERVes allow users to send out regular e-mail messages to large groups of people without first having to obtain the approval of UCit. This service is ideal for anyone responsible for a campus club or organization. For more information or to request a LISTSERV account, please see http://listserv.uc.edu/cgi-bin/wa.exe.
Mass Mailings
Mass e-mail should be used to communicate information pertinent to university business that falls within one of the following categories:
- Crisis or Emergency (or both)
- Policy Changes
- Official University Announcements
- School-related Solicitations (grant and award nominations, campaigns, etc.)
University-wide messages that encompass multiple groups of students may be initiated only after approval is obtained through the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Please complete the Request for Mass Mailing to UC Students. Your request will go to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. A copy will be sent to you for your records. You will receive an e-mail response from the Student Mass Mailing Approval account (mmaprov@uc.edu) in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs after your request has been reviewed. A minimum of five (5) business days is required for adequate time for review, approval, and preparation of the e-mail. Questions about this process should be sent to the Student Mass Mailing Information account at mminfo@uc.edu.

All e-mail sent to UC Physicians and the Health Alliance is automatically encrypted.
