University of Cincinnati Personal Purchases from Dell Inc.

UCit and Dell have configured four laptop and two desktop systems that are popular for personal purchases by UC students, faculty, and staff.

The laptops are:

1.) the Latitude E4300 UC Bundle;
2.) the Latitude E6400 UC Bundle;
3.) the XPS M1330 UC Bundle; and
4.) the Studio 15 UC Bundle.

The desktops are:

1.) the Optiplex 760 Minitower; and
2.) the Inspiron 530 Desktop. 

The price of the equipment falls within the 25% - 32% discount level off list, depending on the model and configuration selection. At times, Dell may offer promotions that could undercut these prices, but Dell would match these lower prices whenever an EXACT match for a lower price can be found.

The major benefit of buying one of these configured models is the warranty. With these models, Dell is offering a three year on-site, next business day warranty to fix the equipment in the event of a break. In a retail setting, Dell customers most likely are offered one year with either a walk-in or mail-in warranty.
