VirusScan Enterprise V8.5i for Windows NT, 2000, XP, and Vista:
VirusScan Enterprise v8.5i has been pre-configured to utilize the UCit AntiVirus ftp site for automated virus definition and engine file updates. VirusScan Enterprise v8.5i does not support Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME platforms.
"Perpetual License" should be selected during install and autoUpdate should be run after product installation. This will ensure all current Engine and Virus Definition files are installed.

McAfee VirusScan for Windows 95, 98, and ME Platforms (pre-configured install):
VirusScan v4.5.1 has been pre-configured to utilize the UCit AntiVirus ftp site for automated virus definition and engine file updates. They are self installing and do not require user intervention.
AutoUpgrade should be manually run after product installation. This will ensure all current Engine and Virus Definition files are installed. AutoUpgrade is located in the VirusScan Console.

This includes all updates available as of November 26, 2001. DAT version 4.0.4172, Scan Engine 4.1.50, and Service Pack 1.
Anti-Virus Data file (DAT) updates
If you are using an Anti-Virus OTHER THAN MCAFEE VIRUS SCAN: Update your Anti-Virus data files according to the software publishers instructions.
VirusScan & VShield (McAfee Anti-Virus from UC):
To Update VirusScan: (NT, XP, 2000, and 2003)
Locate this icon:  in the Task Bar
"Right-Click" on the icon
And select: "Update Now..."
To Update VShield v4.5.1 (Windows 95, 98, and ME)
From the <START> button, choose <PROGRAMS> locate <NETWORK ASSOCIATES> and then <VirusScan Console>
When the VirusScan Console opens "Right-Click" on "AutoUpdate" and select "Start"
