eduroam (education roaming) is world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
With it, UC students, faculty and staff can obtain Internet access while visiting any other eduroam member-institutions throughout the world using their UC username and password.
This “worldwide hotspot” also makes it easy for guests from other eduroam-participating institutions to access the Internet with their home institution’s login credentials.
UC students, faculty and staff traveling in the US or abroad for conferences and collaborative work can have their laptops and other wireless devices configured locally before they leave. This will make wireless access to eduroam automatic at participating institutions throughout the world.
