UC Information Technologies (UCIT), in partnership with several university departments, launched a UC-branded mobile application presence. The mobile apps’ framework will facilitate continued app development by members of the UC community.
The UC Mobile Apps are available as a free download for Apple and Android devices.
UCIT renovated the space on MainStreet that houses the Mobile Cats Wireless store and UCIT’s ResNet services to incorporate the UC App Lab on Main, a mobile applications incubator.
The “App Lab” will be a gathering place for students, faculty, staff and alumni to develop apps. UCIT will provide resources—experienced staff, tool sets, a code library and more—to help members of the UC community bring their app ideas to life.
This collaborative space will advance the state of research and practice in the development and use of information technology for enhancing the performance of individuals and organizations, provide a forum for interdisciplinary work on issues related to information technology and facilitate the exchange of information between the academic and business communities.
Contact Asif Riaz for more information and to get connected to the UC App Lab on Main.
UC App Lab on Main is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and shares a location with Mobile Cats Wireless and ResNet services.
