Improved Scantron Sheets Available

Exam Grading has collaborated with UC Central Stores to order new Scantron forms with the "M" coded in the UCID field already completed, so students will no longer have to "bubble" it.

We have done this because the scanner rejects a Scantron form with an incomplete "M" number in the ID field. The person grading the form must then manually enter the "M" before resuming processing. Accumulative interruptions can result in long delays during mid-terms and finals weeks, when Exam Grading is very busy.

The new forms just arrived in Central Stores and are available immediately. It is a special proprietary form, Form UC – 1000, listed under the item number 957500. No other changes have been made, which means that the process for uploading data to Blackboard is exactly the same as it has been in the past.

Because many departments still have a supply of the older forms that require the "M" to be bubbled in, we will continue to accept them until they are all gone. If you are still using the old forms, please remind your students to bubble in the "M."
