Blackboard Update, July 4th 2018, 7am to 11am

Update to Blackboard coming in July

On July 4th, 2018, Blackboard will undergo several updates to strengthen data security and fix bugs. 

Blackboard, UC’s Learning Management System (LMS), will be updated on July 4th, 2018 to ensure the protection of student data and address known issues users may experience in Blackboard.

Date & Time

The update is scheduled for July 4th, 2018, beginning at 7:00 a.m. Changes are expected to take approximately four hours to complete. During this time, Blackboard services will be unavailable, but are anticipated to be restored by 11:00 a.m.

Scheduling considerations have taken into account grade submissions and course preparation for Summer and Fall semesters.

What's Changing?

The update will not introduce any new features, but rather strengthen the security of student data, introduce fixes for styling issues, as well as resolve other known issues in the current version.
