West Campus Emergency Generator Testing

Tuesday, March 8 from 6 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Facilities Management will be testing emergency generators in buildings across UC’s West Campus on Tuesday, March 8. This test will affect the emergency side of the electrical system, not the regular power to the building. This is done on a monthly basis as mandated by the N.F.P.A. 110 standard. The test will begin at 6:00 a.m. and will conclude by 3:30 p.m. There will be two momentary power interruptions on the emergency load only in each building. Each generator will run approximately 30 minutes. 

Please be aware that testing could cause intermittent network connectivity throughout this time frame. 

Testing will occur in the following buildings:

  • Zimmer Hall
  • Geology / Physics
