Course Applicability System Online

by Patricia Krekeler

The University of Cincinnati is now live with the Ohio Course Applicability System (CAS), which is sponsored by the Ohio Board of Regents. Students utilizing the system can receive information on how their current credits will apply to other degree programs at other Ohio institutions.

The University of Cincinnati has recently implemented DARwin, a degree audit system written by Miami University, to store degree audit and course equivalency information to make it available to CAS. Students considering transferring to the University of Cincinnati can enter their current course credits into CAS and receive a degree audit of how these courses would apply to a program at the University. The system is accessible via the Internet and is available to students 24/7. UC advisors can also use it as a tool to advise transfer students. This system will assist the University in becoming a premier transfer institution.
