UCit now for Students
by Paul Czarnecki
Technology plays a significant role in the educational experience of UC students. From online registration and the importance of email to the educational powers of Blackboard and student computer labs, the learning landscape for college students has changed dramatically over the past ten years.
Still, many students are not aware of all the constantly improving IT services and resources available to them. In this issue alone, students can find out:
UCit now contains useful IT information for faculty, staff, and students. In recent years, UCit has distributed notification of the newsletter's publication to faculty and staff only. One of UCit's organizational goals for the 2004-05 academic year is to reach out to students with UCit now. However, the University has no desire to "spam" students with information they may or may not deem useful. Therefore, we offer our quarterly online newsletter to students as a subscription service.
If you would like to receive an email message notifying you when each new issue of the newsletter is available, please send an email message to UCitnow@UC.Edu, with either "Subscribe" or "Subscribe-S" as the subject. Adding the "S" lets us know you are interested in the student edition.
