UCVision - The Next Best Thing
to Being There

28 September 2004 - UCit is pleased to announce the latest way for students, faculty, alumni, and friends all over the world to stay connected with the University of Cincinnati. UCVision is a portal for showcasing UC events webcast by UCit PTSG. The service will offer a mix of free, paid, and subscription-based content from all areas of the University.

Through their joint efforts, UCit, the Office of Governmental Relations and University Communication, UC Athletics, UCATS, The UC Foundation, the UC Alumni Association, and Fox19 Television are offering a UC Athletics subscription package.

PTSG will webcast live all basketball games broadcast by Fox19 television. PTSG will, in addition, produce their own webcasts of selected events in other sports. For the PTSG produced webcasts the announcers will be from Bearcast, UCıs student radio station. All live athletic events will be blacked out in the greater Cincinnati region, but you will find an archived version of each game available at no charge the day after the event.

The UC Athletics subscription package costs $100. You may view a single game for $6. During the inaugural year, there will be a limit of 400 subscriptions.

Please note that to receive webcasts presented via UCVision, you will need the latest version of Windows Media Player installed on your PC and a broadband Internet connection.
