UCit Personnel Reorganization

Patricia Krekeler has accepted the role of Director, Application Services for UCit. Pat's direct reports are:

• Barb Combess, who will be taking responsibility for the Student Information Systems
• Brenda Frankenhoff, a new employee joining UCit on 20 September and taking responsibility for UC Flex system development and maintenance
• Paul Schmidt, who will be responsible for custom systems development and support
• Bev Upton, who will be responsible for forming a new group charged with performing Quality Assurance and source library management for all application areas.

Mark Young has been promoted to Director, and taken responsibility for e-mail systems in addition to his existing responsibilities. Mark's direct reports are:

• Dave Bosse, Technical Services, Integration Services and Storage Management
• Dan Kuhlmann, Distributed Systems and UC Flex Basis
• Mary Lou Arundel, University Data Warehouse, UC Flex Business Warehouse, physical database administration.

We will hire a new manager to assume responsibilities for e-mail services. The new manager will also report to Mark. Bev Upton will continue to manage this function until the position is filled.

Jim Lewis will establish the Project Management Office (PMO) and continue to manage the legacy HRMS and CUFS systems. Initially, Jim's duties will not change significantly due to his role on the UC Flex project.

UCit is also establishing a new Security Director position reporting directly to the CIO, Fred Siff. Systems and Operations' Data Security team will report to the new Security Director. Until that time, the team will continue to report to Bev Upton.
