Vista OS Update

UCit recommends that users refrain from upgrading existing university PCs to the Vista OS until some of the independent software vendors that provide and support significant applications to the university (e.g., Cisco, Novell, and SAP, the UCFlex vendor) announce their support for Vista. Until then, the UCit Help Desk will not be ready to provide Vista support for these applications. Please visit http://www.uc.edu/ucit/helpdesk/complete.asp?id=294 for additional details.

Nevertheless, we realize that some faculty or staff, especially those who are not using these and other university applications, may want to install Vista on their university-owned or university-leased systems. Vista OS media is now available at the UC Bookstores.

Per our previous announcements, student media and media for faculty and staff for work-at-home are not yet available.
