UC and Microsoft Renew Campus Agreement Contract
with minor modifications

The University of Cincinnati has renewed its Campus Agreement contract with the Microsoft Corporation, beginning 1 July 2007 and ending on 30 June 2008. Highlights of the new agreement are as follows:

The University will continue to pre-license all registered students, and all faculty and staff employees, for the following product suite:

• The Office Suite for Windows & Mac
• The Windows Operating System upgrades
• Core Client Access Licenses:  this includes Client Access
  Licenses (or CALs) for the Microsoft Exchange Server, the Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, the Microsoft Systems Management Server,
  and the Microsoft Windows Server.

The University will continue to pre-license only faculty and staff employees (including teaching and graduate assistants) for the following additional (two) products:

• Visual Studio Professional
• Office SharePoint Designer.

In accordance with the above, all registered students at UC can obtain the following products at the UC Bookstores, and only pay the price of the media as indicated below:

• Windows Vista - Ultimate Edition. Cost is $13.00 plus tax.
• Office 2007 Suite for Windows - Enterprise Edition. Cost is $9.49 plus tax.
• Office 2004 for Mac - Professional Edition. Cost is $9.99 plus tax.
• Office 2004 for Mac - Standard Edition. Cost is $6.00 plus tax.
• Windows XP Professional. Cost is $5.50 plus tax.

All UC faculty and staff employees can obtain the following products at the UC Bookstores, and only pay the price of the media as indicated below:

• Office 2007 Suite - Enterprise Edition for Windows. Cost is $7.99 plus tax.
• Office 2004 for Mac - Professional Edition. Cost is $9.99 plus tax.
• Office 2004 for Mac - Standard Edition. Cost is $6.00 plus tax.
• Windows Vista - Enterprise Edition. Cost is $6.99 plus tax.
• For work at home rights:  Windows Vista - Ultimate Edition.
  Cost is $13.00 plus tax.
• Windows XP Professional Upgrade. Cost is $5.50 plus tax.
• Visual Studio 2005 - Professional Edition. Cost is $15.00 plus tax.
• Office SharePoint Designer. Cost is $5.75 plus tax.
