UCit Launches New Web Site

UCit launched its redesigned web site in November. Representatives from all areas of UCit - Systems and Operations, Network and Telecommunications Services, Instructional and Research Computing, Business Affairs, and the Vice President and CIO’s office - served on the UCit Web Task Force, preparing the new site.
 
The previous redesign shifted the site’s structure from organizational to services provided to UC students, faculty, and staff. For the 2006 redesign, UCit continued the service orientation, but decentralized maintenance of the site by chosing to build it in the Serena Collage content management system (CMS). The CMS allows individual UCit departments to post and update information quickly, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for UCit clients.
 
You can access most essential UCit services with one click from the new home page. A Google search engine lets you search the UCit site.
