Statistical Software Available

UCit manages site licenses with various vendors to provide discounted software to UC faculty, staff, and in some cases, students.
UCit's Instructional and Research Computing Software Distribution Office distributes media and licenses for JMP, Mathematica, SAS, SPSS, SigmaPlot, SigmaStat, and ZoomText.
Under the typical site license program, you purchase a license to use the software. The license expires yearly, on a specific date. Once that date passes, you need to purchase another license to continue using the software. Each site license has its own terms and conditions.
JMP
JMP is a SAS product that dynamically links statistics with graphics, right on your desktop, empowering you to explore data interactively.
UC faculty, staff, and students may install JMP on UC-owned computers and their personally owned computers.
JMP is available for student use in UCit computer labs. It is licensed for use for classroom instruction, academic research, and course work only.

Mathematica
Mathematica is a powerful mathematical software system.
Faculty and staff may install Mathematica on UC-owned computers and their personally owned computers.
Mathematica is available for student use in UCit computer labs. It is licensed for use for teaching and research.

SAS
The SAS system is an integrated suite of software for enterprise-wide information delivery, data access, data management, data analysis, and data presentation.
Faculty, staff, and students may install SAS on UC-owned computers and personally owned computers.
SAS is available for student use in UCit computer labs.
It is licensed for teaching, research, and administrative use.

SigmaPlot and SigmaStat
SigmaPlot offers seamless Microsoft Office integration, so you can easily access data from Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and produce high quality technical graphs.
SigmaStat is a statistical package that seamlessly integrates with SigmaPlot, as well as Microsoft Office.
Faculty and staff may install SigmaPlot and SigmaStat on UC-owned computers, and use it for internal data processing, but not commercial work.

SPSS
SPSS is an application for statistical analysis and data mining.
Faculty and staff may install SPSS on UC-owned computers and their personally owned computers.
SPSS is available for student use in UCit computer labs.
It is licensed for use for academic data processing, but not commercial work.

ZoomText
ZoomText enlarges, enhances and reads aloud everything on the screen.
You may install ZoomText on UC-owned computers for the visually impaired.
