Data Center Discontinues Color Enhanced Printing Support

UCit's lease for the Xerox 4890 Color Enhanced printer has expired. Data Center Operations undertook a major task, converting all flash-forms using color enhancement to the black and white laser printer. We have converted some of the forms to pre-printed stock, and others so they will be produced without the color enhancement.

Most of the output is black and white, with the exception of letters which were color enhanced for logo printing. Now, flash-form letters will print on purchased letterhead stock. The impact of this change should be minimal. Resulting cost savings will allow for the stock changes required, and UCit anticipates that the resulting documents will be of better quality than those generated on the older Color Enhanced printer.
