IRC Offers Computer Lab Services to UC Departments

The Instructional and Research Computing division of UCit is now offering Lab Services to UC departments. This new service provides cost-effective operational support for student computer labs, and includes the following features:

• access to software applications on UCit's lab file servers
• a secure workstation installation
• controlled user access using UC-standard account names
• up to ten hours per week of technical assistance with lab computer issues
• coordination of lab software updates, including any needed security patches
• incorporation of lab printers in the UC Print Management service (optional)
