February a Heavy Release Month for UniverSIS Team

UCit installed UniverSIS Release 2004.1 into the student information production system on February 17th. This was the first of four releases for the year. The releases are comprised of enhancements requested by the user community as well as fixes to software bugs. UCit also uses system downtime to perform much needed database maintenance. Detailed information on the enhancements included in the release is available on the UniverSIS web site Release Notes page. The next UniverSIS release is scheduled for May 16th.

UCit installed the Financier 2005 release into the financial aid production system on February 29th. The vendor, WolffPack, only ships one major release a year for Financier. This very important release enables the Student Financial Aid office to do financial aid awards for the next academic year. Custom enhancements, unique to UC and completed over the rest of the year, are often moved into production at the same time as UniverSIS quarterly releases.
