UCit Student Technology Resources Center Now Open

The Steger Student Life Center is home to the UCit Student Technology Resources Center (STRC). This state-of-the-art facility offers the following services to UC students:
24-Hour Computer Lab
This general purpose computer lab includes Macintosh and Windows computers running a variety of software, including Internet applications for web and email access, office applications for creating text documents and spreadsheets, and graphics applications for working on various types of multimedia.
Multimedia Editing Room
Designed for advanced creative work, the multimedia editing room features high-end Macintosh and Windows workstations running multimedia applications for video and graphics editing, web page design, and other multimedia functions. Various peripherals allow you to import video from multiple source formats, scan images up to 11" x 14", and transfer still images from a variety of digital camera storage media.
Internet Express
This area includes two Internet kiosks for quick access to web pages and email. The adjacent laptop counter provides space for you to use your own laptop computer, and includes wired and wireless network access.
Student Help Desk
Staffed by UCit student consultants, the Student Help Desk is ready to answer your technology questions.
Breakout Rooms
These mini conference rooms allow student project teams to schedule a place to meet. Each room includes a networked computer and a small work table. The rooms can be reserved at the Student Help Desk within the STRC.
Wireless Network Access
The entire UCit Student Technology Resources Center area provides wireless network access, allowing you to use your laptop or handheld computer to access the UC network and the Internet.
