Software Services
Software is a major asset of the University of Cincinnati. Like most peer institutions in the country and around the world, UC spends millions of dollars annually on software licensing purchases. And we continually make additions to the university’s software resources.
UCIT’s Business Relations division aims to provide the entire university community—faculty, staff and students—with up-to-date software licensing offerings and related services at significantly discounted prices. These offerings (Adobe, Apple, AutoDesk®, ESRI, Gartner, McAfee, Mathematica, Microsoft, SAS®, SPSS, Systat (SigmaPlot), and many others) and their associated services allow members of the UC community to meet many of their instructional and research software needs and collectively save millions of dollars.

Hardware Discounts
UCIT negotiates with vendors for discount rates on computers and other technology available for PERSONAL use by students, faculty and staff members - some of our discounts even apply to alumni and parents of incoming students! Read more.
Hardware Services
UCIT Desktop Services is a function within the Systems and Operations organization, meaning that UCIT only provides desktop support to our own staff. If you are an employee outside of UCIT in need of desktop support, please refer to this list of IT coordinators to locate the IT professional who can help.

Don't forget to check out the University Bookstore for other great deals on technology purchases!
Business Relations staff plays a key and leading role in advocating for improved software licensing offerings and related services to the higher education communities in Ohio and across the nation by representing UC on the Inter-University Council of Ohio’s Chief Information Officers’ Software Licensing Coordinating Committee and on the EDUCAUSE Software Licensing Constituent Group.
