UCIT negotiates with many vendors for university equipment. Given the strong vendor relationships we have developed, we are also pleased to announce that we have negotiated special rates, when possible, for our staff, students, faculty and alumni to purchase technology equipment for personal use.

Apple products

Apple has a fixed price model, meaning that prices on equipment are relatively the same if you choose to purchase at any of the Apple Stores.  For your convenience, the UC Bookstore carries a complete line of Apple products with the same academic discount as is available at the Apple Stores.

PC products

We currently have an agreement with one vendor: HP.

Hewlett Packard/Compaq – HP has extended their educational discounts for staff, students, parents of incoming students, faculty and alumni wishing to purchase personal computers. Currently, the discounts are up to 10% below starting price.
