SAS 9.1.3 Support for Microsoft Windows Vista : some versions of SAS do not work on some versions of Vista.

SAS 9.2 and 9.3 runs on Windows 32bit and 64bit  versions.  When purchasing SAS, uou need to match the SAS version (32bit or 64bit) to the version of Windows  (32bit or 64bit).  To find if your computer is running 32bit or 64bit, see this Microsoft article.

Bookstore Purchases

Students may purchase SAS at the UC Bookstore.

Faculty/staff may purchases SAS at the Bookstore, but Bookstore sales are strictly for purchases where the employee’s department will not pay using departmental funds via GETIT.

License and Installation media:

$83.70  if purchased within first 6 months  of license term ( between July 1 2012 – Dec 30 2012) ; license expires July 1 2013

$46.10 if purchased within last 6 months of license term ( between Jan 1 2013 – June 30 2013) ; license expires July 1 2013

License Renewal:

$71.00 for license only.  Use this option if you have purchased SAS last year and just need to renew the license.

Users can purchase one license and use for two installs: one for home/laptop and one for office computer.  This is for faculty/staff and students.

License Expiration

The license expires annually; a new license must be purchased each year to continue to use the software.

Expires July 1 (with 90 day grace period)

License Agreement

The site license agreement allows the use of SAS for teaching and   research, or administrative use as outlined below.

Teaching and Research:  As defined by SAS, software used for purposes of classroom instruction, academic research, and course work   primarily related to customer's post-secondary degree requirements. Used by students, faculty, and staff supporting such use.

Administrative: As defined by SAS, software used for purposes directly related to customer's operations as a post-secondary degree   granting institution. This includes institutional research and any such use related to reporting about the university to the university. Such software may be used by administrative employees (including faculty performing administrative duties) for such administrative   purposes.
