UCit@Langsam is a 21st-century learning environment provided by UCit and University Libraries. Open 24/7, UCit@Langsam is located on the 5th floor of Langsam Library. The facility features 100 computers, four group study rooms, a quiet study room.

What can I do in UCit@Langsam?

Use Computers:  UCit@Langsam offers 60 Windows PCs and 40 Macintosh computers. Diverse software is available. Laptop users have wireless access.

Reserve Group Study Space:  Four group study rooms are available, two with SMART Boards. Group Study rooms can be reserved for in advance for up to 3-hour sessions.

Get away to a Quiet Study Room:  The Quiet Study Room provides a place away from the group study spaces and computers for individual study. Wireless access is available for laptop users. When using the room, please set your cell phone to vibrate, wear head phones if appropriate, and keep sound to a minimum.

How do I get to UCit@Langsam?

During Langsam Library hours, enter the facility via the 4th floor main Langsam Library entrance, and proceed to the 5th floor. After the library closes, you access UCit@Langsam via the Langsam 5th floor lobby entrance using a valid UC ID. This restricts access to UC students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID.

When is UCit@Langsam open?

The facility is scheduled to be open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, including breaks and holidays.

A security officer is on site from the library's closing until it reopens the next day. Once an hour, at the top of the hour, he or she will walk users to their cars in the Woodside (Langsam Library) Garage. Please ask the officer for assistance.

Can I bring food and drinks into UCit@Langsam?

You may bring drinks with covered lids, but no food into the facility. You may purchase food and drinks in the vending area of the 5th floor lobby, but you must consume food outside Langsam Library.
