Lisa Ventre
Director of Photography and Videography


An award-winning photographer, Lisa’s work has been published world-wide in periodicals such as Wired Magazine, The New York Times, The Chronicle of Higher Education and ABCnews.com. She is a two-time UC graduate (BFA photography, MS marketing). Lisa worked as a photojournalist before joining UC’s Creative Services team in 1990. Her 27 years of experience with UC gives her a keen insight to UC’s brand, campus and community. Lisa is responsible for the strategy, management, and execution of all photography and video projects.

Joseph Fuqua II
Senior Photojournalist


A Cincinnati native, Joe studied graphic design and photography at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. There, he developed a passion for capturing the emotions of the moment. Before joining the UC Creative Services team, Joe spent 18 years with the Cincinnati Enquirer. His skillset is uniquely tuned for both editorial and creative/commercial photography. Joe’s work has been published in The New York Times, USAToday, Sports Illustrated, Cincinnati Enquirer, and numerous other publications.

Lisa Ventre

Andrew Higley
Senior Photojournalist


Andrew joined the UC Creative Services team in 2001, shortly after graduating from DAAP’s fine arts photography program. In 2007, he took a 7-year hiatus to play keyboards for Ben Folds. Andrew has performed and recorded music on four continents, with many well-known artists. He returned to UC in 2014 and still enjoys playing and composing music, creating soundtracks for videos and a popular podcast, “Accused: The unsolved murder of Elizabeth Andes.” Andrew is a CASE gold medal award-winner.

Lisa Ventre

Jay Yocis
Senior Photojournalist


Jay joined the university in 1973 and fondly remembers using film cameras and shooting Kodachrome slides. Over the years his job has evolved from providing classroom support materials to capturing and promoting the university’s brand. Jay has embraced the digital revolution with open arms. He was an early adapter of digital imaging and excels when projects demand a high degree of technical skill, such as flawlessly stitching together panoramic shots to create breathtaking views.
