Gregory J. Vehr is Vice President for Governmental Relations and University Communications at the University of Cincinnati.
Before joining the university in 1999, Vehr was Assistant Secretary of State and Chief of Staff to Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell. Vehr had previously been Executive Director of the Hamilton County Republican Party, Director of Governmental & Public Affairs for the Cincinnati Board of Realtors and Administrative Assistant to Cincinnati Councilman Steve Chabot.
He is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, and of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati.
As UC’s Vice President for Governmental Relations and University Communications, Vehr represents the University of Cincinnati among governmental offices and agencies at the state, federal, and local levels, reporting directly to the President. He is responsible for the university’s marketing, public relations, branding and communications functions, including the World Wide Web.
