What is Web Analytics?
- Web Analytics is the study of online behavior. This information can be used to improve Web sites. Two categories of analytics include:
- Off-site Web analytics - the measurement of a Web site's potential audience (opportunity), share of voice (visibility), and buzz (comments) on the Internet as a whole.
- On-site Web analytics - measures a visitor's journey once they are on your Web site. On-site Web analytics also measures the performance of your Web site in a commercial context.
