    Institute for Nanoscale Technology: Faculty have brought in $5.6 million in funding and have $9 million pending. Small 
    Times Magazine recently ranked the University of Cincinnati 2nd in nanotechnology education nationally.

    Obesity: Internationally recognized group of faculty working in interdisciplinary areas in basic science, translational research
    and clinical research related to obesity. Procter & Gamble has provided over $5 million in support of this program.

    Neuroscience: Faculty throughout the University of Cincinnati
    and Cincinnati Children's collaborate in various areas related
    to neuroscience. The interdisciplinary neuroscience graduate program is supported by several NIH training grants. The university recently received a $16 million gift from Edith J. Crawley to support student training and research in an area
    of neuroscience.

    Product Design: A collaboration between the colleges of design, architecture, art and planning, engineering, business and medicine in the area of product design has recently emerged. This team of faculty and their research program recently ranked highest in Ohio's Third Frontier program on Product Design and was awarded $1.8 million, along with their industrial partner, Techsolve.

    Cancer: Faculty throughout the university are working at the basic, translational and clinical research levels to study the causes and mechanisms of cancer.
