The UC Journalism Program Presents: Women in Journalism

A celebration of women writers and an event to help ready journalism students for real life!
Morning panel discussions will address challenges in daily news coverage and in mixing forms to address critical issues, while award-winning journalist and author Ann Hagedorn, author of Savage Peace will speak during a brown-bag lunch event. In the afternoon, students may sign up to speak with an impressive roster of female journalists. Students MUST sign up in advance for five-minute slots. They are encouraged to bring their most pressing questions as well as ask for advice on job preparation and job hunting.
