Dr. Ken Stephens has worked in college health at the University of Cincinnati since 1975. He is currently Assistant Medical Director and Coordinator of Athletic Medicine for the University Health Services. He has been team physician for the varsity athletes at UC for the past 30 years. He practices college health and occupational medicine as well as sports medicine for the University. He is also a pharmacist, having earned his degee at UC. Ken holds voluntary faculty appointments in Environmental Health, the departments of Orthopedics and Family Medicine as well as the College of Education. He currently serves as president of the board of directors of the National Operating Committee for Standards in Athletic Equipment. He is a volunteer physician with the U.S. Olympic Committee. He is a fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine and the American College of Preventive Medicine and was a founding member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Other memberships include the American College Health Association and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Yelandra May, M.D.
Dr. May is a native of Birmingham, Alabama but has lived in the Cincinnati area most of her life. She obtained her bachelor's degree in biology at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. After receiving her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati, she accepted training at Bethesda Hospital.
For over 10 years, Dr. May had been in private practice in the Cincinnati area prior to joining University Health Services in June of 2002.
