Center Mission
To stimulate, conduct, and disseminate research on leadership in urban schools.

• Promote collaborative research projects on leadership in urban schools.
• Establish the Center for the Study of Leadership in Urban Schools website, the vehicle for:

  -disseminating electronic publications on leading urban schools,
  -linking with related professional organizations and agencies, and
  -linking a worldwide community of scholars and practioners who are interested in the study of leadership in urban schools.
  

• Establish the International Journal of Urban Educational Leadership, an electronic, peer-reviewed research journal.
• Organize national conferences for the purpose of engaging researchers, urban school leaders, and policy makers in activities which seek the improved understanding and practice of leadership in urban schools.
