UC A World of Diversity highlights the diverse mix of UC students enriching their academic careers by studying abroad. UC currently sends almost 900 hundred students all around the world each year, and those numbers continue to grow. However, many students that want to study abroad are often discouraged by a long list of factors like cost. In reality any student, from any socio-economic background or academic discipline can study abroad. This video helps to dispel the myths surrounding study abroad and gives an accurate picture of what it’s like to study abroad as a UC student.
You can travel from Argentina to Yemen with the students as they recount their entire study abroad experience the good and the bad. The students walk through the entire process from their first visit to UC International Programs, the on campus study abroad office, to their reentry into the United States. International Programs has advisors that will meet with each student interested in studying abroad to explain the laundry list of options. Students can study from a long-weekend up to a year. All financial-aid, grants, and scholarships can be applied to study abroad, not to mention UC International Programs gives away $200,000 of funding to study abroad students each year.
