Grammy-award winning Paavo Järvi showcased his conducting talent with CCM students.
The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music welcomed celebrated Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Music Director Paavo Järvi for a master class with doctoral conducting students on Saturday, January 26, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in CCM's Patricia Corbett Theater. Maestro Järvi worked one-on-one with the students who will be conducting the CCM Philharmonia Orchestra in selections from Gustav Mahler's Symphony #4. This event was a rare opportunity to hear one of the world's most dynamic and esteemed maestros sharing his insights about the music and his craft with emerging young conductors.
