DAAP students are given many projects that require numerous hours of work. Building an eight foot long bridge is one major undertaking that comes to mind for second year architecture students. After watching the 2008 Bridge Break I was shocked to find that after nights of tedious labor, every bridge was demolished. Of course, destroying the bridges is all a part of testing the students' work.
Watching the Bridge Break, I realized this wasn't the average assignment students dreaded. The architecture students appeared excited to be a part of such a big event. Not only does the Bridge Break feature the impressive projects, it develops into a show. Every student has a chance to put their design to the test while upperclassmen of DAAP provide a little entertainment.
