Reading is relaxing. Eating is enjoyable. Put these together and you have one good time. This is exactly what you can expect annually at the Edible Book Festival. Well, there isn't a whole lot of reading. Books, however, are the inspiration behind all of the featured food creations.
Baking and cooking are pretty basic, but try building an alligator out of spinach. This may sound like a complicated task, but something you could find at UC's Edible Book Festival. At the event, UC faculty, staff, and students sample food that has been molded into an entirely new life form.
If you liked reading Little Women, it was even better as cake. Of course there were cereal treats to munch on as a part of a crime scene from the novel, The Cereal Murders. A Clockwork Orange proved to be quite electrifying. In honor of the book, oranges were wired together to actually power a clock. Whether there was electricity running through the food, it was amazing to see and eat!
