Steps for UC Video Submission

Do you have a great UC video you'd like to share? Follow these steps to submit it.

Step 1: Video: Submit edited video to Web Communication staff, via webcommunications@uc.edu or CD (ML 0141) – formatted as FLV (flash) and sized to 320x240.
- Video should be 90 seconds or less.
- Video should appeal to a large audience, especially prospective students.
- Subject of video should be UC-related.
Step 2: Text: Submitter must include a description of the video (include the description in the e-mail or in a text file with the CD submission.)
Include the following with your text submission:
- Name
- Department
- Contact Information (e-mail and phone)
- Title of Video
- Description of Video (e.g. http://www.uc.edu/video/munich/). Two to four paragraphs describing is sufficient. Note: Text may be edited by the Web Communications staff.
- A 135x135 jpg image that represents the video (This can be a still shot of a frame of the video.)
Step 3: Video Web Page: Web Communication staff will create a Web page for your video as well as provide you with <embed> html syntax to use in your own Web site.
- Note: placement on www.uc.edu/video/ is at the discretion of Web Communications staff based on content and relevance.
- Note: this step may take several days.
Step 4: Completion: Once the page is available, the submitter will receive notification of its location on the Web
- Note: the movie player is built using Flash and will be publically accessible to the vast majority of users via the free Flash Plug-in. Latest trends show a 95 percent browser penetration of the Flash Player.
- Note: hosting and archiving of video is at the discretion of Web Communications, Govt. Relations & Univ. Comm. and is subject to change.
Final Note:
- Submissions to /Video/ are governed by UC's Student Code of Conduct and can be removed at the discretion of Web Communications, Govt. Relations & Univ. Comm.
