d. Marge Schott Stadium
The University of Cincinnati opened its brand new, state-of-the-art, on-campus baseball stadium in May 2004. It was named Marge Schott Stadium in the spring of 2006 after the Marge and Charles J. Schott Foundation made a $2 million gift to the Richard E. Lindner Varsity Village. Marge Schott was a well-known Cincinnati philanthropist who held controlling interest in the Cincinnati Reds from 1985 to 1999. She passed away in March 2004, leaving the majority of her estate to the foundation.
