Programs in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services lead students to careers in teaching, criminal justice, health promotion, counseling, social services, legal assisting and related academic and leadership fields. The Teacher Education graduate program ranks in U.S. News & World Report's Top 100, and students achieve nearly 100% pass rates in state certification exams. The Arlitt

and Education Center, operated by the College, is one of the oldest demonstration preschools in the U.S., serving children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

CECH's Criminal Justice Division ranks first nationally in published research by The Journal of Criminal Justice, and its PhD program ranks third by U.S. News & World Report. Bachelor and master’s degrees in Criminal Justice are also offered. The Paralegal program was named in the top 100 in the U.S. and Canada by the American Bar Association.. |

The Counseling program is a recipient of the Robert Frank Outstanding Counseling Program Award, and exemplary reviews and accreditation have been received by the Teacher Education, Counseling, Athletic Training, Addictions Studies and School Psychology programs. CECH is also the 2006 recipient of the AACTE Teacher Education Quality and Accountability Award.
