Since its founding 175 years ago, the University of Cincinnati College of Law has found opportunity on the frontier. In the early days, it was a physical frontier as Timothy Walker, Edward King, and Judge John C. Wright established a small school on the western edge of a growing nation. But even then, the College of Law was marked as one of the nation’s premier law schools.

Today, the College of Law still enjoys a reputation as a premier small, urban, public school. The passion and dedication of the many distinguished faculty and alumni have kept the College on the frontiers of legal inquiry and legal education reform—and also kept it a place where ambitious students could acquire the legal skills and perspective needed to improve themselves and change their world.
