founded in 1850,
was the first college
of pharmacy west
of the Alleghenies.
The college offers
professional pharmacy
practice (Doctor
of Pharmacy - PharmD)
and graduate (MS
and PhD) degree
programs.

The
Doctor of Pharmacy
( PharmD) program,
the entry level degree
program for a pharmacist,
requires a minimum
of six years to complete,
two years of pre-pharmacy
at the undergraduate
level followed by
competitive admission
into the final four
years at the graduate
level at the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy.

UC
offers a MS/PhD program
in the pharmaceutical
sciences. Students
may specialize in
pharmaceutics, pharmacology,
drug development,
medicinal chemistry
or social and administrative
sciences.
UC's master's
of science track in
cosmetic science,
one of only three
such programs in the
U.S., is available
on campus and through
a new distance learning
option. The college
recently launched
a novel MS track in
drug development in
which students focus
on the scientific
and regulatory aspects
of drug discovery/development. |
