The Academy Black-and-Carnelean granite fountain in University Plaza spills into a basin near the visitor entrance of University Pavilion. The plaza connects McMicken Circle to MainStreet, a contemporary district that caters to students' academic and social interests.

University Plaza leads to Tangeman University Center.

University Plaza, at one of the highest points on UC campus, opens onto McMicken Commons.
