If you are interested in creating a Virtual Tour that features your college, please read about our process. If you have any questions or would like to start a project, contact us using the information below.
Specific Topics to be Featured
- No more than 10; each topic will be an individual video package
- Topics should highlight details unique to the college
- Example Topics:
- Practice Rooms
- Laboratories
- Successful Alumni
- Elaborate Events
- Graduate Programs
- Undergraduate Programs
- These topics will be cohesive to an outline of your college
- Example of an Outline:
Scripts
- For every video package covering a different topic, there needs to be a specific script pertaining to that information
- Should be written in first person
- Should be clear and concise
- Must be approved by college office, web team, and project advisor
- Finalization is essential so that video relates to audio and projects are completed in a timely manner
- Example Script:
- McMicken Commons (From Uptown Campus West Video Tour)
“Tangeman University Center is a building that symbolizes the mixture of traditional and new things here at UC. It officially reopened in its entirety in 2004, after being renovated and expanded, exemplifying both our heritage and our innovation. Today, the building still has a popular food court on the second floor, as well as sit-down style dining in the Mick and Mack Café. Additionally, TUC is home to MainStreet Cinema (our 200-seat movie theatre), a game room, study lounges, quite a bit of meeting space, and the University of Cincinnati Bookstore.
McMicken Commons is one of UC’s “free speech” areas, meaning many interesting speakers have presented on that space. In addition, numerous campus events happen on that very spot, including rallies, the majority of Welcome Week activities, Greek Week, Relay for Life, and so much more.
McMicken Hall is a place with which most UC students are intimately familiar, because it is home to our McMicken College of Arts and Sciences. So, no matter what college you are in, you will probably be taking classes out of A&S for general education requirements.”
On–Air Talent
- Used to introduce and narrate the story of the video package
- Should be students of the college; we want to capture the ‘student perspective’
- Only one talent per video package
- Varying videos can have different talent
- Talent positions are best fulfilled by those who may have acted as an ambassador to college tours or are involved within the college
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals make great talent
- Talent work is on a volunteer basis
- Example of On–Air “Talent”:
Details of What Your College Offers
- This is a chance to expose the great educational opportunities, training facilities, and hard-working individuals specific to your college
- Using video allows your college’s unique story to be told
- The videos used to highlight your college’s specialties can be distributed to iTunesU, DVD, Facebook, and linked to multiple websites
- Example of Video Package:
Time Frame
- With the aforementioned elements, we will produce a video tour telling the story of your college
- Should your college be interested in filming and producing your own videos under these guidelines we would assist in the process and review the content for publication
- Delivery time of the content will be prioritized based on the projects the web team are undergoing
- If specific deadlines or expectations need to be meet, this needs to be confirmed with the web team prior to the production of the videos
