Uptown Campus West
La University of Cincinnati è spesso paragonata a una piccola città . Ha persino ciò che ogni cittadina dovrebbe avere: un corso principale, la MainStreet.
In qualità di studente a tempo pieno della UC, si ha automaticamente diritto all’iscrizione al centro ricreativo del Campus. Sugli impianti ricreativi della UC sono stati scritti articoli apparsi anche su riviste internazionali. Gli impianti comprendono 5 campi per racquetball, una palestra con 6 campi da palla canestro, una piscina olimpionica, una parete da scalata di oltre 12 metri, una pista da jogging sospesa a mezz’aria, centinaia di macchine cardio e fitness e molte altre attrazioni.
Gli impianti di ricreazione ospitano anche il CenterCourt, che è uno delle due mense del campus. Inoltre, gli studenti possono scegliere di vivere in alloggi tipo suite all’interno del centro di ricreazione.
Il centro di vita studentesca Steger è sede di numerose organizzazioni e attività del campus, tra cui Attività studentesche e Sviluppo di Leadership, Vita studentesca, Governo studentesco, Ufficio delle associazioni studentesche maschili e femminili, Centro benessere e il Centro delle donne. Ospita inoltre un caffè e ristorante fast-food su due piani.
The University of Cincinnati is often compared to a small town. It even has what every small town should have: a MainStreet.
As a full-time UC student, you receive an automatic membership to the Campus Recreation Center. The recreational facilities at UC have been written about and reviewed in international magazines. The facilities include eight racquetball courts, a six-court basketball arena, an Olympic-sized lap pool, a 40-foot climbing wall, a suspended mid-air jogging track, hundreds of cardio and fitness machines and many other amenities.
The rec center facilities also house CenterCourt, which is one of two dining halls on campus. And, students have the option of living in suite-style housing within the Campus Recreation Center too.
The Steger Student Life Center is home to many organizations and campus resources, including Student Activities and Leadership Development, Student Life, Student Government, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Wellness Center and the Women’s Center. It also features a two-story coffee shop and a fast-food restaurant.
