Uptown Campus West
Tangeman Üniversite Merkezi veya yaygın adıyla TUC, kampüsün tam merkezinde bulunmaktadır. Her nesil öğrencininin yön bulmasını kolaylaştıran bu bina 1935 yılında inşa edilen orjinal saat kulesi ile taçlandırılmış ve yaklaşık 28 metrelik bir orta avlu tarafından temin edilen doğal ışıkla aydınlatılmıştır.
TUC’ nin ikinci katında bir yemek alanı ve ve aynı zamanda 200 koltuklu tiyatro ve bilardo salonu, çalışma salonları, toplantı alanı ve Cincinnati Üniversitesi Kitap Satış Mağazası bulunur.
McMicken Parki UC’nin “serbest kürsü” alanlarından biridir ve burada çok sayıda konuşmacı ilginç fikirlerini sunar. Bunun yanında bu alanda öğrencilere yönelik cok sayida etkinlikler gerçekleşir.
McMicken Binası, çoğu UC öğrencisinin hemen aşina olduğu bir binadır çünkü McMicken Fen - Edebiyat Fakültesi bu binada yer alır. Dolayısıyla hangi fakültede olursanız olun edebiyat ve tarih gibi zorunlu derslerinizi McMicken Binasinda almaniz muhtemeldir.
Tangeman University Center, or TUC, is at the very heart of campus. It is filled with natural light provided by a soaring, 90-foot atrium crowned by a skylight and by the building’s original 1935 clock tower, a landmark for generations of students.
TUC houses a popular food court on the second floor, as well as a café for sit-down style dining. Also, TUC is home to a 200-seat movie theatre, a game room, study lounges, meeting space and the University of Cincinnati Bookstore.
McMicken Commons is one of UC’s “free speech” areas, and many interesting speakers have presented in that space. In addition, numerous campus events happen here, including rallies and student-orientation events.
McMicken Hall is a place that most UC students are intimately familiar with because it is home to our McMicken College of Arts and Sciences (A&S). So, no matter what college you are in, you will probably be taking classes in McMicken Hall for general-education requirements like literature or history.
