Uptown Campus West
Questa area è stata denominata in onore di Herman Schneider, il fondatore dell’apprendimento cooperativo. Tale metodo pedagogico, spesso chiamato semplicemente co-op, è stato inventato alla UC. Oggi la UC ospita uno dei migliori programmi di apprendimento cooperativo, in base al quale gli studenti alternano il tempo trascorso seguendo le lezioni in classe con esperienze di lavoro professionale retribuito in tutto il mondo. E molte di tali esperienze co-op si trasformano in offerte di lavoro una volta che gli studenti si laureano.
Nell’edificio Baldwin Hall si trovano gli uffici principali del College of Engineering (Facoltà di ingegneria), insieme ad aule e alla biblioteca di Ingegneria.
Old Chemistry (noto come "Old Chem") è sede del dipartimento di Lingue e Letteratura romanze e del dipartimento di matematica.
Swift Hall è dotato di 18 aule “intelligenti”. È la sede del giornale gestito dagli studenti News Record, che si occupa delle vicende del campus. Ospita anche il dipartimento Ombuds (delle politiche comunitarie) dell’università, il nostro centro di consulenza pre-professionale e il Programma onorario.
This area is named in honor of Herman Schneider, the founder of cooperative education. Cooperative education, or co-op as it’s often called, was invented at UC. Today, UC houses a top-ten co-op program. Co-op is where students alternate time in the classroom with paid, professional work experience around the globe. And a lot of these co-op experiences turn into job offers when our students graduate.
Baldwin Hall contains the main offices for the College of Engineering, along with classroom space and the Engineering Library.
Old Chemistry (a.k.a. "Old Chem") is home to the Department of Romance Languages and Literature and our Math Department.
Swift Hall includes 18 “smart” classrooms. It houses the News Record, our on-campus, student-run newspaper. It is also home to our University Ombuds department, our Pre-Professional Advising Center and our University Honors Program.
