This international workshop will be hosted at UC in November 2015. It will gather cultural anthropologists from seven countries (US, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Uruguay and Japan) who have worked as expert witnesses in a range of criminal and civil cases. We will address the myriad theoretical, epistemological and ethical issues surrounding our work in multiple legal systems. The workshop is funded by a grant from the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research.
