College Day Activities

College Day is an opportunity for you to meet classmates within your specific college, meet faculty, administrators, and your academic advisor, as well as learn the expectations that your college has of you!

College Day activities will begin immediately after New Student Convocation, which will end around 11:30 a.m.. See information listed about your college below.  

Blue Ash College

Time: 11:30am
Location: African American Cultural & Resource Center (Uptown Campus)
Details: Students will have an opportunity to meet and interact with other Blue Ash students living on campus, as well as Blue Ash students who have successfully made the transition to Clifton already. In addition, you will have the opportunity to connect with key staff from both the Blue Ash and Clifton campus to get an understanding of resources available to you and opportunities for involvement and engagement. Lunch will be provided.

College of Arts & Sciences

Time: 11:30 a.m.

Location: Fifth Third Arena

Details: Students will meet with their academic advisors immediately after New Student Convocation.  Lunch will then follow on Sigma Sigma Commons where students will have an opportunity to engage with students, faculty, staff and alumni.  After lunch, students will participate in small group book discussions, then meet with the undergraduate director during the departmental meeting.

College of Allied Health Sciences 

Time: 11:30 a.m. to  3:30 p.m. 

Location: Medical Campus, University Commons Green Space, Behind Kingsgate & Vontz Bldg

Details: Immediately following New Student Convocation and New Student Picture, there will be CAHS representatives who will walk you over to the green space (University Commons) between Procter Hall and the Kingsgate Marriott.  An outside lunch will be served and activities will take place in French East.  Students will meet with their program director,  faculty mentor, instructor of Success seminar, peer leader, and learning community classmates and have a welcome by the Dean. Students need to bring a copy of their Fall schedule that shows their building and room numbers for class tour on West Campus.

College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services 

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Location: 407 Annie Laws, Teacher's College

Details: Students should bring their UCID and report to Annie Laws Room 407 Teachers College.  Lunch will be provided.  After lunch, the group will proceed to Zimmer Hall for the remaining activities.

College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning 

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Location: Aronoff 4400

Details: Students will meet in Aronoff 4400 and are reminded to bring the required recyclable or found item for the design project.

College of Engineering & Applied Science 

Time: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Location: Sigma Sigma Commons

Details: Students will meet for a first-year class photo on Sigma Sigma Commons.  Lunch will then be held on the Schneider Quadrangle. After lunch, students will meet advisors and learn more about their program requirements.

Lindner College of Business

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Location: Lindner College of Business

Details:  Students should proceed to the Lindner College of Business. Lunch will be provided followed by programming and a class picture.

College of Nursing 

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location: Procter Hall, East Campus

Details: Students will follow College of Nursing Student Ambassadors to the green space between Procter Hall and the Kingsgate Marriott.  Lunch will be provided, and will be followed by academic programming inside Procter Hall. Students should bring their (fully charged) i-Pad mini.

College of Medicine

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location: Medical Sciences Building, East Campus

Details: Students should proceed to the green space (University Commons) between Procter Hall and the Kingsgate Marriott immediately following New Student Convocation- same location as Nursing and Allied Health Sciences students.  Students will meet and mingle with faculty, classmates, and staff after a welcome from the Dean.  Lunch will be provided.  Activities following the welcome will take place in Kresge Hall in the Medical Sciences Building.
