The Higher Education Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati

The Higher Education Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati was formed as a result of the vision of the Steering Committee of the University of Cincinnati Women's Institute for Leadership Development. Having successfully formed a strong network of UC women the committee went out to area colleges and universities to solicit interest in a regional program in order to expand the network region-wide. Five area institutions elected to participate: Cincinnati State Technical & Community College, Miami University, the College of Mount St Joseph, Northern Kentucky University and Xavier University. (A participant from the Union Institute was added in 2005.) A joint steering committee was formed to oversee content, programming and schedule. Individual institutions select their own participants and host at least one session while administrative coordination is the responsibility of the UC director.
