AAPW is a non-profit organization that provides a forum for sharing and discussing issues concerning UC women, supports professional development and networking opportunities, and engages in community service and outreach activities.
Committee W (Status of Women in the Academic Profession) is a committee of the University of Cincinnati chapter of American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and promotes the implementation of AAUP policies for gender equality.
Established in 1974, the Department of Women's Studies is one of the oldest & most highly regarded Women's Studies programs in the country. It offers an MA, a joint MA/JD, an undergraduate degree and graduate certificates. Through additional support from Friends of Women's Studies, a 400-member organization founded in 1980, the Department hosts visiting professors, offers research and travel grants, augments library holdings, and honors outstanding women alumni.
Established in 1980, Friends of Women's Studies is dedicated to supporting the activities, development and growth of the Department of Women's Studies at the University of Cincinnati and to disseminating knowledge about women's achievements, needs, and aspirations to the broader community. Friends of Women's Studies achieves this mission through various activities and programs held thoughout the year.
The Rowe Center provides a focal point for women engineering students to access supports for success in classes, on co-op work assignments and beyond. The Center coordinates with existing programs in the College of Engineering, the University, and the broader community to support students.
Sister Circle
Sister Circle is a staff and faculty support group that encourages professional development, personal empowerment, friendship and success among Black women on campus and across organizational lines. Bring your lunch and meet other sisters across campus. Sister Circle encourages and welcomes participation from every African American woman at UC, to the degree that you are able. Sororities provide lasting friendships, strong academic support, a solid network, as well as valuable lessons in how to lead and serve. The UC Sorority community consists of 11 sororities, all of them inter/nationally affiliated.
The UC Women's Center is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs and interests of the female students at the University of Cincinnati. The UCWC strives to respond to student-driven concerns and are committed to action which benefits women.
The Women's Leadership Conference is an annual forum for all women of the University of Cincinnati community. Organized by UC women, the conference provides the opportunity to develop and enhance the leadership potential of women at all levels.

The overall goal of Women's Faculty Association (WFA) is to promote career development, advancement and recognition of women in the Department of Pediatrics. The WFA also provides an opportunity for women faculty and fellows to meet each other, network and participate in informal mentoring activities. These opportunities include career development seminars for both male and female faculty, as well as fellows, pediatric residents and graduate students.
The Women's Institute for Leadership Development (WILD) provides key leadership experience coupled with structured learning in higher education administration. The goal is to advance women leaders in central academic as well as top level administrative positions.
Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) works to provide an environment for women in science and engineering to attain their full potential as student and faculty. Activities include the summer Research Experiences for Women Undergraduates (REWU), mentor and mentee training workshops, as well as invited speakers on issues of interest to women in science and engineering.
